M2B is a mobile kinetic sculpture. This is a representation of the Universe, inspired from both Eastern and Western cultures, placed on a traditional Chinese tricycle. It synthesizes a Taoist concept of the cosmos and the ‘theory of everything’ elaborated by American Physicist Antony Garrett Lisi. M2B was built in 2011 in Beijing to appear as a poetical interference in the streets of the Chinese capital city. For a year, this sculpture rode around the streets by daytime and also by nighttime. It has been exhibited in major cultural events such as ‘Art Beijing’, ‘Caochangdi Photospring, Arles in Beijing’ and the French-Chinese festival ‘Croisements’. In spring M2B rode from Beijing to Hong Kong for a 3.400 km art performance. In 2014 the piece arrives in Paris, supported by the French Embassy in China and the ‘France-Chine50’ committee, in the frame of the 50th anniversary of the establishment of the diplomatic relations between France and China.
