« For Ibai Hernandorena any Media and shape goes to produce a Work of Art, mainly it is about micro-architectures, sculptures and urban furnitures. What is important is the fact of generating a new vision, a poetic vision of the existing places. The spectator is ivited to face the situation, as an actor he is placed in a position of interpretating the reality.
The choice of using very often organic shapes and natural elements, is made to bring a reflexion on the historical trace of industry in the society. In front of the abandon of consistent way of life, the fact that we are moving into an immaterial world, forgetting the basic skills to control our environnement, Ibai H re-invents the spaces, giving them a new meaning, introducing a sculpture or an object that adds a sense to a conventional place. Ibai H is sensible to materials, he uses them as a language, His constant implication in the creative process confirms his vision of Art as a state of life. »
