Chrystel Egal is a visual artist and a fiction writer published by Actes Sud. Her artform questions what is beyond physical and reveals another language. Her mandala serie written white on black is an expression of it. What drives, questions and moves her creates its own aesthetic. These forms are tattoos like prayers that run on the wall of her room. Existential issues, extracts of interviews or favorite writers, to be felt or decrypted… Let the vibration of the text getting through the viewer…
Here is her « Mandala Love I » a round lightbox and turning 65 cm in diameter. The circle is a nomad, it speeds the course of things and symbolizes the universe. It is the only way which Chrystel Egal found to be integrated in the chaos of the world. It makes thus resound her cells and her toughts to find a unit. And each one can make it turn to its own way…
